Privacy & Data Protection Policy

The Holy Tree Sri Balasubramaniar Temple (referred to herein as “the Temple”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the personal data of individuals who provide personal information to us, including personal data provided through our websites as referred to in Clause 1.1 of the Terms and Conditions of Use. The Temple is bound by the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (2012) (the “Act” or “PDPA”) which governs how the Temple collects, uses and/or discloses any personal data. This Policy describes ways in which the Temple collects, uses, discloses, stores, and disposes of personal data.

  1. This is a website of the Holy Tree Sri Balasubramaniar Temple (HTSBT).
  2. We may use “cookies”, where a small data file is sent to your browser to store and track information about you when you enter our websites. The cookie is used to track information such as the number of users and their frequency of use, profiles of users and their preferred sites. While this cookie can tell us when you enter our sites and which pages you visit, it cannot read data off your hard disk.

  1. HTSBT will use personal data collected for the purposes for which the personal data was collected, unless consent for such use is withdrawn or the individual has indicated to the Board that he/she does not consent to the use of the personal data.

HTSBT may use your information for the following:

  • Membership and registration matters where applicable, such as change in policies
  • Respond to enquiries and requests from you or people you have authorised
  • Provide updates, invitations to events and deliver messages via SMS/MMS, voice, Email or your mailing address with your prior consent or if otherwise permitted under local laws and regulations

HTSBT does not share individuals’ information with:
